double trouble.

I have twin brothers that are 5 years younger than me.  Although I love them, it is because of them that I would never wish twin boys upon anyone.  It may sound great in theory to have twins and achieve two birds with one stone, but I learnt first-hand how hard it is!

I remember my mum could never get out of the supermarket checkout because the double pram wouldn't fit through.  Everything difficult about a newborn baby TIMES TWO.  If one cried in the night, the other would wake up and cry.  My dad would pack the two hysterical boys into the car in the wee hours of the night and literally drive for hours to calm them down and make them sleep.  And my poor mum had to feed them both simultaneously for months.  They may have been cute, but they were a handful alright.

Because they are the same age (4 minutes apart to be exact) it has been double trouble as infants, as toddlers, as children and now double trouble as teens.  On the upside, if you do happen to pop out a set of twins, at least you can rest assured that there are super cute twin clothing sets and storage solutions like this!

TOT-a-LOT makes clothes exclusively for twins which brings on interesting environmental aspects too (everything comes in pairs, but are packaged together).  Designed by Spanish studio WESEMUA.

“TOT-a-LOT is a brand dedicated to design clothes for twins. After designing the brand, we devised a packaging that conveys the idea of twins and also thought to be reused in the form of drawers for clothes. Having two babies at the same time takes effort and money. TOT-a-LOT is very responsible with the environment so all materials and inks used in their clothes are eco-friendly, so we designed a simple but impressive packaging focusing on the tone of voice of the brand. Did not need anything else to do it so appealing. The boxes are personalized with the names of babies and parents can begin putting their first clothes each in its corresponding drawer.”
