Oh my gosh I have so much to blog about at the moment!  I will update you all soon I promise...
But for now, let me introduce my latest purchase by one of my favourite quirky illustrators, Marc Johns.  Can't wait to hang in this in my fabulous new bedroom!

My new current illustrative obsession - Marc Johns.  He's kind of awesome.  If you're not already familiar with his work, get familiar!  His blog always showcases his most recent work, which is hilariously cute and simple and honest.  You must visit his shop. And to think, I was 4 seconds too late when I tried to purchase one of his works yesterday.  Ouchy.

eno henze.

My latest inspiration comes in the form of Eno Henze.  In particular, his digital series, 'Human Factor'.  So beautifully abstract and so, so, intricate.  I was trying to think what his drawings reminded me of and I came to the conclusion that they remind me of rhythm gymnastics, but maybe underwater.  Except of course these prints are obviously far bigger and more beautiful than just a piece of ribbon...  But they definitely give me that same sense of movement I think.  So gorgeous.  I have always been a sucker for large-scale artwork and colour.  Hope you enjoy these images as much as I have.

I'll admit it.  I have a few vices that get me every time.  Including Trolli sour worms, exxy cosmetics, massages, boots (I have already bought 5 pairs this Winter eek!) and beautiful Australian artwork...

So my Kelly Smith addiction may be getting a little out of hand...  BUT I feel that I can justify spending some hard earned cashola on stunning, original illustrations that I will hold onto forever.  I have already got three originals of hers, but then yesterday whilst browsing her store, I came across 'The Fledgeling', which happens to be my all-time favourite of Kelly's and the very first illo of hers that I ever stumbled across in Vogue Australia back in 2008!

Not only is Kelly truly lovely and totally humble, she is so freaking talented it hurts!  The detail in her work is incredible.  It makes me think, in my next life I pray to possess the following talents; to fly, to sing and to draw!  Instead I have been given the undeinably envious talent of being able to fold my tongue in three.  Don't think there's really a career in that (other than a traveling freakshow) though unfortunately.  Wah.

Anyway, Kelly is forever being featured in magazines and countless blogs.  Speaking of blogs, Her blog is always lovely and inspiring to have a browse at too.  I just can't wait to hang this bad boy on my wall with my others!  I'm definitely going to need more wall space at the rate I'm going.

louis reith.

Louis Reith is a Dutch illustrator who creates the most amazing graphics using pages of aged books.  I love the contrast of the aged pages against the bold, almost tribal abstraction of typographic forms.  You can purchase a limited edition print for only $35 from Little Paper Planes...  I know I plan to.
