neon love.

Ok, so I know I am a little late on the whole V–Day thing, but I couldn't resist posting these totally gorgeous neon signs created by artist Tracey Emin for a dazzling display of Love in Times Square last month...

 ...Because, who doesn't love, love?!

campbell's x warhol.

Well looky what we have here.  Legendary canners Campbell's have recently released a limited edition collection of tomato soup cans in an effort to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Andy Warhol’s 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans piece.  Someone run to a US Target and post me some!

yago hortal.

By now I'm sure you know that I have a thing for colour and texture, so these have just blown my tiny mind...

"Spanish born, Berlin based artist Yago Hortal drips, smears, and splashes layers of acrylic paint onto canvas to create these abstract expressionistic works of art. These explosions of color are probably even more fun to make than they are to look at. Hortal’s work seems like a great balance of cerebral, emotional and physical discharge, what more could an artist want to be fulfilled."

louboutin x art.

Check this out if you haven't already...

"The new lookbook of Christian Louboutin was shot by Peter Lippman. Portraits inpsired by classic paintings, from Georges de la Tour’s “Magdalene and the Flame” to Jean-Marc Nattier portraits, the images pay homage to art masterpieces with a contemporary twist. "

jaakko mattila.

Just came across some amazing works that I just cannot stop looking at from Finnish artist Jaakko Mattila.  I am such a fan of simplicity and the way simple elements can create mind-blowing artwork like these.  Makes me want to get out some paints and attack a canvas for the first time in years!
