Well here's yet another reason for me to visit the Big Apple. The Gramercy Park Hotel is somewhere I would definitely love to spend a night or two. Each of the 185 rooms have their own "unique layout, vivid Renaissance colour palette inspired by Raphael and distinctive collection of art and objects." The art and fit-outs of each room is simply incredible. Visit their blog here.

a pantone experience.
You may have seen several of the Pantone product spin-offs, but you heard about the recently-opened Pantone Hotel in Brussels? That's right, the universal colour-matching system is now branching off into hotels. The first seven-floor hotel boasts 59 rooms and suits which embrace one of seven Pantone colour palettes - ranging from vivid to subdued, for business or leisure. Designed by Belgian interior designer Michel Penneman and Belgian architect Olivier Hannaert, the hotel says it expects guests to "(choose) a room that complements their mood through colour".
"From a design perspective, the Pantone Hotel Brussels, is built on an exceptional use of contrast; a white canvas provides clean space for saturated colours to pop. Guest rooms feature unique photography by esteemed Belgian photographer Victor Levy... Pantone Color Consultants are also available by appointment for informal color consultations or to present educational seminars on color psychology and trends."
My second favorite thing about the hotel; the bathrooms come with Pantone Universe toiletries ( I would definitely be swiping a few Pantone shampoos and toothbrushes to take home!). My MOST favourite aspect of the hotel, however, would have to be the bar! Apparently the bar offers Pink Champagne Pantone 12-1107, Lemon Drop Pantone 12-0736 and Daiquiri Green Pantone 12-0435 cocktails... Now that's my kind of bar!
