Just thought I would share a few of my polaroid snapshots from my recent trip to the beautiful Paris! Our weekend can be summed up in a few words - walking, shopping, patisseries, champagne! Ahh, just the way life should be!

just a little tidbit.
A friend recently sent this to me. And the more I think about it, the more true it seems. We, as creative people, seem to place so much pressure on ourselves to be the most creative, the most successful, the best. The truth is though, we don't stop growing, learning, refining. We change, we improve, and so too should our designs. You cannot be the best when you are merely starting out, you can aim to be the best and you may have the potential to be the best, but ultimately, actually being the best is something you have to work bloody hard at!
Anyway, hope this inspires you, like it did me...

"The Galerie Courbe in the Grand Palais was recently temporarily transformed into a magical backdrop for Chanel‘s new Metiers d’art collection. The collection, inspired by India’s Maharajas and lavish palaces, displayed tables that were set with tiers of fruits, sweets, and flowers. Models, with khol-rimmed eyes, donned jeweled tikkas down the middle of dreadlocked hair. And this is just a sliver of the many extravagant details. Check out the beautiful footage below and see how pieces from the collection came together at embroidery house Lesage and button and jewelry atelier Desrues."

oh, christmas windows.
I have always loved Christmas. The decorations, the excitement of present giving/receiving, even the embarrassing carols that my mum makes a point of playing all December long. Although Melbourne is beautiful in Christmas (ie. sunny and hot), I am feeling particularly inspired this festive season by London's beautiful decorations and displays set up all over the city. There is just something about Christmas in Winter! Here are some gorgeous Christmas windows (via Marie Claire) that have taken my fancy as I continue to explore my new city...
